Gem Island - Day 1

so.... I finally had the time to post up all my pictures... not easy ok... cause i didn't take the camera cause someone hijacked the camera... tsk tsk... so, i'm sorry if the pictures aren't in the best condition.. but i must say that i am very proud of my handphone.. *cheers*

welcome to Gem Island Resort & Spa

We had our welcome drink which was some fruit punch and then the receptionist briefed us... Telling us that the resort turns off the generator from 3pm-5pm daily.. we seriously tried to keep smiling... that's like the hottest part of the day!
But instead of going to the room first... We had our breakfast... And I had...

And we headed straight to the beach.. I din't get any picture of the beach on the first day.. well cause i was going in the water.. not like my phone is waterproof... Sony Ericsson should invent that... *hint hint*

Anyways... We ventured out onto the other side of the beach and found this super duper cool cave that and a pond... Which was really private and quiet.. And the water was super clear also... And it was marked as OUR pond cause no one else would have ventured there...

We went back in time for lunch... You see.. lunch, dinner, breakfast for all 3 days were provided for... And we didn't need to get out of the island for food cause the food was darn good..We had crab!! for lunch!!

You might be wondering how we lasted through the 2 whole hours when the generator was turned off... I tell you... We stayed in the room thinking that cause it was sooo windy.. we could leave the window on since our room was facing the sea.. and then the breeze could cool us down....

WRONG!!

It was nothing but hot!! Brendan left 3 spots of sweat on the bed... But he still managed to sleep through... I tabik him!

Then during the evening.. We went to the other beach... Cause Brendan wanted to swim... Again

Dinner was great and all.. But the fish wasn't fresh.. So we told them to take it back.. Cause we had enough dishes anyway... And the chef was a sweetheart and gave us a big plate filled with 30 satays... The satays were fired which made it super duper yummy! We insisted that we had enough and that we were full.. And at the same time stuffing the satays down our throat..

This was what happened to my by the time i got back to the room...

Day 2

Woke up and had the urge of looking at the sun.. They have this hanged rattan chair that can turn ourside on the veranda.. And i sat there and enjoyed the view..

Then uncle Phang and aunty Marianna came over... Brendan and uncle Phang started wrestling..

We went snorkeling shortly after breakfast... Which was damn cool.. We met this Australian girl and her French husband.. They were on their hunnymoon.. and were really sweet..

Omg! the corals i tell you were so effing lovely... We saw so many sea rambutans and sea cucumber... The fishes were crossing our paths... It was so magical....

Oh... Did I tell you that they breed turtles there.. They are some kinda turtle conservation thingy...

so we had this brilliang idea of lying on the beach.. cause they have hammocks there.. and catch up on some sleep... but couldn't... cause the sun was freaking hot... so we moved on to the front patio of the reception... which was so darn windy.... and it had this really cool swing that can fit 5 people... and swinging on it will make your butt melt and stick on to it.. FOREVER!!
